Bangladeshi Bank Card Manufacturer Installs T-DAR Mantrap Shield System, Gains EMV Certification
DHAKA, BANGLADESH - Silkways Card & Printing Ltd, a major Bangladeshi bank card manufacturer, recently achieved EMV (Europay MasterCard Visa) certification following comprehensive facilities upgrades focused around the installation of four of Newton Security, Inc. T-DAR Mantrap Shield anti-tailgating and
anti-piggybacking detection systems within newly-constructed mantraps (security vestibules).
The Newton Security T-DAR systems meet the rigorous requirements for production area access security established by the EMV and are an accepted solution for meeting world-wide Payment Card Industry (PCI) security standards. The installation of mantraps with interlocking doors are specific requirements for bank card producers seeking EMV and PCI certifications for tighter controls on physical access to sensitive manufacturing and data storage areas. The installation of the Newton T-DAR Mantrap systems, plus additional improvements, enabled SIlkways to become the first EMV-certified credit card manufacturer in Bangladesh.

The T-DAR Mantrap Shield is a combination of stereo vision and sophisticated Newton-developed software which works in conjunction with the hardware and software of new or existing security systems to create secured spaces between pairs of
T-DAR controlled electronically interlocking doors. The T-DAR system identifies, tags and tracks the human form within a mantrap, insuring that there is only one person present, while ignoring carts, luggage or parcels in their possession.
