T-DAR® TAILGATE DETECTION/PREVENTION SYSTEM INSTALLED AT GE APPLIANCE CENTER IN LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY

Louisville, KY - April 21, 2010 - Newton Security Inc, the global leader in the supply of machine vision single person detection systems, and DECO A/V, a leading provider of CCTV systems in the Kentucky-Indiana area are installing Newton Security Inc's patented T-DAR access control system at employee entrance/exit points in the data center at the GE Appliance Center in Louisville, KY. Two T-DAR controlled double-doors will be installed by May 2010.

The installation of the T-DAR mantrap system will improve security by identifying and preventing occurrence of tailgating and piggybacking while decreasing the high cost of employing security personnel at the secure entrance/exit points.

Tailgating is the act of an unauthorized person discreetly walking through a door without consent after an authorized person. Piggybacking occurs when an authorized person holds a secure door open for another person that he or she perceives to have authorized access. These security violations avoid the electronic authorization system from the process and bypasses a security system's capability to reject an invalid or fraudulent pass.

“We had a chance to test the T-DAR system and it is certainly well built and the technology is pretty ingenious.” stated Wayne Stone, Operations Manager at Douglas Electronics. “The system prevents piggybacking and tailgating into the secure data center. The employees must be granted access through the double-door mantrap system before entering into the data center where the equipment is staged. ”

The GE Appliance Center installation utilizes portals equipped with the T-DAR double-door system. The
T-DAR system manages the flow of employees into the secure data center by ensuring that both sets of double-doors are not opened at the same time and only one authorized person is in the portal when access is granted. Once the access control reader has been successfully instigated, the T-DAR system locks the public-side door. The system then scans the interior of the portal and grants access if only one person is detected.

The T-DAR solution is utilized globally in airports, government buildings, data centers, research laboratories, financial concerns, power plants, manufacturing sites, unmanned immigration and virtually every other category of secure areas.
